A stand-alone access control device combines both a controller and a reader in a single unit. It identifies users, verifies their access permissions, and controls the electronic lock through its built-in relay.
The device supports multiple identification methods, including RFID cards or key fobs (EM 125 kHz and MIFARE 13.56 MHz), NFC, and numeric PIN codes via the keypad. Temporary PIN codes can also be issued through the SmartPlus mobile application, allowing limited-time access.
Advanced configurable features include anti-passback technology (preventing a user from re-entering if they are already inside) and a 12 VDC output, which allows the electronic lock to be powered directly without an additional power source, as the device operates via standard PoE.
With an IP65 weatherproof rating, the device is suitable for outdoor installation. Its IK07 anti-vandalism rating further ensures durability, even in demanding environments.
Through the Akuvox Cloud, administrators can manage users, schedules, and access groups, as well as configure advanced functions such as relay opening times and reader timeout settings.
