A stand-alone access control device combines both a controller and a reader in a single unit. It identifies users, verifies their access permissions, and operates the electronic lock via its built-in relay.
The device supports user identification through RFID cards or key fobs with EM technology at 125 kHz, MIFARE at 13.56 MHz, and NFC.
It also offers advanced configurable features such as anti-passback (preventing a user from entering again if they are already inside) and a 12 VDC output that can directly power an electronic lock without the need for an additional power source, since the unit itself is powered via standard PoE.
With an IP65 weatherproof rating, the device is suitable for outdoor installation. Its IK07 anti-vandalism rating ensures durability in demanding environments.
Through the Akuvox Cloud, administrators can configure users, schedules, and access groups, as well as manage special functions such as relay opening times and reader timeout settings.
